Wind gongs are traditional instruments used for meditative, therapeutic and musical applications. They are characterized by a flat profile without a raised rim and produce a broad, evenly spreading sound field with long sustain and a rich overtone spectrum.
The Yin–Yang design features a polished metal surface with contrasting light and dark areas defining the symbol. Fine circular surface textures radiate outward from the center, creating visual depth and subtle variations. These differences influence the response and overtone distribution, while the central Yin–Yang motif forms the visual focal point and emphasizes balance between tonal stability and harmonic movement.
