The handpan workshop is for beginners with no previous experience. The course is ideal for anyone who wants to learn the basics and first playing techniques on the handpan.
Mathias Reuter will be waiting for you at 6:00 p.m. in the workshop room at Kulturbunker Kassel.
Mathias Reuter is a percussionist and managing director of percussion+m. As a certified drum circle facilitator and mentor, he brings extensive experience in music education, including teaching handpan. After studying social sciences, he has been leading drum circles and offering workshops to teach the art of handpan playing since 2001. He is also co-author of the book “Drum Circle – der Groove für alle” (Drum Circle – the groove for everyone) and offers further training for music educators.
Sela instruments will be available during the course, but you are also welcome to bring your own handpans.
