Our Sela instructor Thomas Tiefenbacher will give two beginner handpan workshops that day. In these two-hour sessions, Thomas will show you the first playing techniques, coordination exercises, and simple handpan melodies.
Thomas Tiefenbacher is an experienced percussionist who combines his musical and shamanic knowledge. He started as a drummer and musician in rock bands, but during his travels and encounters with spiritual teachers around the world, he discovered the healing and shamanic side of music. From these experiences, he developed a system that connects music with cosmic and shamanic knowledge. As a handpan player, Thomas integrates the instrument into his sound healing practice to create transformative, shamanic sound experiences and introduce his students to the world of musical sound healing.
