Reinhold Bauer is a versatile percussionist, rhythm educator, and experienced musician with over four decades of stage experience. As a studio and touring musician, he has performed in Germany, Austria, Hungary, Spain, and Switzerland, and is known for his solo programs and live performances in dance and theater productions. Among his notable projects are live soundtracks for contemporary dance, including work at the Landestheater Oberpfalz and the Schleudertraum Dance Festival.

In addition to his active music career, Reinhold Bauer is a dedicated educator. He has developed his own unique approach that combines rhythm, language, and movement. For more than 25 years, he has led the Regensburg Samba Bateria “Sarará” and the drum show “Move & Groove,” where he is responsible for composition, arrangement, and choreography. His expertise makes him a sought-after instructor for workshops in cajon, handpan, samba, body percussion, and stomp across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

Bauer collaborates closely with renowned artists such as Lisa Wahlandt, Martin Röttger, and Geff Eisenhauer, and has contributed to over 40 CD recordings spanning genres from classical to rock. Since 2022, he has been a brand ambassador for Sela Handpans and regularly performs with his program “Rhythm Live.” In addition, he actively serves as a Sela workshop instructor, working closely with us to share his passion for handpans through workshops in Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.

As the founder and director of “Rhythmodrom – Academy for Rhythm Coaching,” Reinhold Bauer offers a part-time professional training program for rhythm coaches. He is involved in various educational projects and team-building workshops for companies. Since 2017, he has also worked full-time at the Regensburg Acting School, where he teaches rhythm and coordination and oversees stage construction.
