Micha Abt-Okudzeto

I have known Sela for a long time as a manufacturer of fabulously good cajons of high quality. I have owned a Sela Cajon for a long time and am very satisfied with it. I use the Sela Hickory 7A Drumsticks because they have the perfect balance between light and hard play for me. The tear-drop head and the length of the sticks are just perfect for me to play dynamic beats, and the weight is sensational, helping not to tire during fast riffs. I liked the idea of working with Sela right from the start. A friendly manufacturer from Germany with a clear philosophy when it comes to instrument building, and from the very beginning, it was a very warm collaboration. I am proud to be a Sela endorser and feel well-supported as a musician with Sela.

Drummer at The Tasty Trash Pandas and Studio Productions

Born in 1967, there were early attempts at drumming on his mother’s cooking pots at the age of 4. After training in his father’s business, he moved to Berlin and trained as a drummer under Prof. Dr. Benno Heinz and at HDK Berlin. As a drummer during the fall of the Berlin Wall, he was asked to participate in numerous studio and live productions. It was an incredibly exciting time for young musicians. Micha always felt at home in the punk rock, hardcore, and metal scene as a drummer. Countless shows as a drummer on tours with bands and artists worldwide.

Then, first experiences as a drum tech for many of the industry’s big drumming names up to today, as well as tour management for bands and productions internationally. He has also taken on production management at festivals, as well as planning and consulting for tours. Since 2022, Micha has been back on the drum throne with the Tasty Trash Pandas from Aachen. An EP has already been released, and the band is currently in the studio recording their album, which will be released in 2024.

Micha is thrilled to be a part of the Sela family and plays the Sela 7A drumsticks.
