Fadel is a Moroccan-Canadian DJ, electronic music producer, film score composer and multi-instrumentalist. Since 2007 he has performed over 800 shows in Canada, USA, Mexico, France, Angola and Morocco and has released more than fifty original songs on numerous world-renowned Canadian and international labels under the alias FADEL and more recently under the alias Sound of Mint. He is now fully dedicated to his electro-ethnic duo Sound of Mint fusing the cultures of the world with electronic music. Sound of Mint is an electro-ethnic duo by FADEL LAHLOU & JOEL PELLEGRINI based in Morocco. Their collaboration led them to create a new musical concept fusing electronic music and atypical acoustic / analogic instruments from all over the world. Sound of Mint have collaborated with renowned World Music musicians such as Samba Diabaté, Abou Diarra, Mbemba Diabaté, Sami Chaouki and Marta Lunares to name a few releasing numerous major original tracks on some of the most prestigious international Afro-House & Electro-Ethnic record labels such as Madorasindahouse (Greece), AltOrient (Canada), Camel Riders Records (Israel), Medina Records (Morocco). Their mystical, captivating, traditional, avant-garde original compositions have received remarkable support from the biggest names in the electronic music scene such as Black Coffee, Adam Port, Blond:ish, Laurent Garnier, Acid Pauli, Nick Warren, Sabo to name a few; allowing them to tour more than 200+ shows across France, Morocco, the USA, Canada and Angola. This vibrant & energetic duo can be described as a colorfully orchestrated electro- ethnic live performance with both surprising and enchanting improvisations inspired by the cultures of the world. Lastly, Fadel has also been on a quest to heal human beings and animals through meditative instruments such as the Handpan crafting a unique musical journey to transmitting: joy, humility and a deep inner connection to the soul.
