Nicolas Schipper also known as Chaka, is an artivist and space holder, celebrated for his work as a drummer, keeper of the resonance, and ethno therapist. Passionate about the exploration and preservation of ancestral traditions, Chaka emphasizes the importance of appreciation over appropriation through Vidaya Community & Journeys, where he guides individuals in the process of reconnecting with themselves, reclaiming their energy, and rediscovering their roots through ARPI, a method born from his own journey and continuous evolution supported by his percussion. He is the percussionist of the Scandinavian ancestral music group Heilung and has collaborated with artists such as Kati Ran, Songleikir, and Soulfly among others. Beyond his musical path, Chaka holds a master’s degree in Global Entertainment and Music Business and has been musician, founder, and manager of iconic groups in Ecuador such as CelticTrip, Suburbia SKA, Jazz The Roots, and La Piñata. After that stage, he began a path of exploration beyond his native Ecuador, seeking a deeper understanding of music, cultures, and traditions that now shape his art and purpose, leading him to the journey he walks today.
