The year 2026 is just around the corner, and we have a wonderful surprise for all handpan lovers from our region!
On January 31, we warmly invite you to our beginner workshops. They will take place at our Sela Studio in Eschenbach in the Nürnberger Land – only about 30 minutes from Nuremberg and Amberg, and easily accessible by public transportation.
Second workshop session: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
This two-hour workshop is perfect for getting to know the instrument and taking your first steps. It is also suitable for anyone who has already played a handpan before but has limited playing experience and would like to improve the basics such as hand position and striking technique. By the end of this short session, we will already be playing together in multiple voices as a group — and we promise, it will already sound like music!
Content (rough outline, depending on participants):
– Basics of playing technique, especially hand position and striking
– Tone sequences & melodies
– Chords and playing together
– Information on different handpan tunings, proper care, and transport of the handpan
